Association with the National Association of Manufacturers:

GIA is the exclusive state affiliate with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), an organization representing 14,000 manufacturing firms and the 18 million people who make things in America. 

Communications:

GIA sends its members quarterly newsletters, weekly legislative bulletins during the General Session, and periodic updates on important issues affecting Georgia industry. GIA also maintains an up-to-date website with pertinent information of interest to its members and links to other valuable sources.    

Education:

GIA sponsors a full calendar of educational opportunities for its members. GIA seminars address pertinent issues including business development, energy, environmental affairs, finances, human resources, legislative affairs, management, taxes and related matters affecting Georgia industry.  GIA-sponsored tours also serve to educate our members about the diversity of industry in Georgia.

Legislative Voice:

GIA is "the voice" for industry in Georgia. GIA's professional staff of lobbyists and communicators represents our members on a daily basis at the Capital during the General Session and throughout the year.  GIA mobilizes its volunteers to affect public policy that benefits industry on the state and federal level. Through these coordinated efforts, GIA provides strength in numbers and quality representation for its members.  

Networking:

Annual gatherings, Regional meetings, and GIA's member-led committee structure provide numerous social and business networking opportunities with people in industry throughout Georgia.   Among other things, the GIA website features a job bank and résumé posting which is a valuable networking tool for member companies and individuals seeking employment in industry in the state.

GIA is the source of information about all issues affecting industry in Georgia. GIA facilitates the sharing of expertise among its members and provides access to substantive experts who specialize in various issues affecting industry. GIA, its partners and affiliates provide white papers, referrals and other written and electronic resources for the exclusive benefit of its members.
