Our Mission...
Industry is at the heart of the American Economy, and Georgia is a leading state in the nation-wide manufacturing resurgence. Recognizing the need for focused representation, the Georgia Industry Association was organized in 1993 by manufacturers who realized that only through the strength of numbers could they address key legislative bodies with authority, respond effectively to the almost unlimited power of regulatory agencies and intelligently challenge well-organized, well-funded opposition groups.
Since that time GIA has worked tirelessly to represent Georgia's manufacturers on issues that directly affect industry, including economic development, energy, the environment, human resources, taxation and transportation.

"An American Manufacturing Association is a powerful and enlightened member of the community which, by defending it's own rights, saves the common liberties of the country."--Alexis de Tocqueville, 1840
"The Georgia Industry Association was founded by manufacturers for manufacturers to give us all a strong, effective voice in nontraditional issues and services. For too long, we have focused inward on our own 'shop floor' problems, and not the broader issues that hit us on the bottom line." --Pete Gray, Founder of GIA
